Photographs –whether taken by me or furnished by you –are used as the basis of the painting in order to maintain accuracy of unique features and characteristics. However, many elements will be enhanced or minimized in the painting process to bring the portrait to its highest level of excellence.

Several small preliminary studies of the work will be painted and submitted to you in person or through email attachments. All of your suggestions will be integrated into the painting.

All portraits painted by me carry a 100% money-back guarantee.  If for any reason you are not totally satisfied with your portrait, I will refund your entire purchase price. Once you receive the finished painting, hang it in your home to enjoy. Share it with friends and family. At the end of 30 days, if you are not totally satisfied with your portrait, return it to me for a complete refund. I want this to be absolutely perfect for you.

Portrait Pricing That Meets Your Individual Needs

Portrait paintings are often created over many hours, sometimes involve face to face interactions, and require significant attention to surroundings,  and attire of human subjects.  Such involvement is completely appropriate if you are looking for a highly individualized painting. However, this level of involvement can be very expensive and is not practical for everyone, especially the online client.  If you are interested in commissioning a more complex painting, please contact me and we’ll discuss the parameters of creating a Deluxe Portrait, including prices for that work.

Guidelines to Qualify for a Basic-Priced Portrait

  • Photographic prints must be a minimum of 4 x 6 inches.

  • Digital images (photograph) must be at least 960x1280 pixels.

  • The exposure and focus of the selected subject within the image must be clear enough to recognize unique characteristics.

  • The freeform painted background will frame the subject with uncomplicated elements of color and texture.

    • Included in the Basic-Priced Portrait

  • A classic, uncomplicated, and discriminating representation of the subject with the same skill, grace, and style rendered in the Deluxe Portrait.

  • The most desired and unique qualities of the subject will be emphasized and enhanced.

  • Lighting, source and color, will be used to set the mood and energy of the portrait (as always, per the client’s agreement or suggestion.)
